This comfortable friendly Inn is situated centrally by the harbour area of the picturesque town of Stromness in Orkney with its winding, narrow, paved and cobbled streets.
One can view from the Inn the harbour, the bustle of boats of all kinds and further beyond Scapa Flow the famous Orkney Naval Base of two World Wars.
There are 12 bedrooms, most of which have showers or private baths. Colour televisions and tea/coffee making facilities are provided in all rooms.
The Restaurant has a homely feel to it and cooking is to a high standard with local seafood dishes a speciality.
All the beef dishes are prepared from local beef and a good selection of vegetarian dishes are also available.
There is also a comprehensive wine list available to compliment your meal. In addition to the main menu there is a specials board which changes daily.
